Liverpool youngster Yasser Larouci signs with Troyes, Reds to receive small compensation

Yasser Larouci looked like he was about to break through with the Reds in 2019 when he made 2 appearances in the FA Cup for the Reds.

However, after announcing his intention to leave and the Reds signing Kostas Tsimikas last season, he turned down the new deal he was offered.

Now as a free agent, Larouci has landed with Ligue 1 side Troyes, with whom he has signed a 5-year contract.

Troyes are owned by the City Football Group and his switch overseas will see Liverpool bank in the region of £250,000 in training compensation, as per FIFA rules.

Although it didn’t work out with Liverpool, Larouci will now look to make his senior breakthrough in France.
